Pediatric Obesity

Obesity is one of the most common chronic diseases in pediatrics and is influenced by many genetic and environmental factors. Obesity in childhood increases the likelihood of having obesity as an adult and creates risk for serious health issues that continue into adulthood. In the US, rates of childhood obesity continues to grow at a drastic rat;. It is important to seek available care and treatment at a young age to ensure a healthier life outcome.
